Seriously.

My mom hates Hetalia. She was actually the first person I can think of to call the show racist. She loves anime, don't get me wrong (in fact, she was the one who got me hooked on Blood Plus and I saw her watching Black Butler and Darker Than Black the other night) but she hates Hetalia.

My mom and her husband also hate Regular Show, saying its not appropriate for young kids (despite the fact that we all fucking watched it before, me AND the younger kids, and that nine year old she watches loved it beforehand).

My mom HATES the Powerpuff Girls. I know my older aunt (her little sister) used to love it when my mom was taking care of her years ago, and it drove my mom insane. And now, it drives her insane that we all love it as well.

And Total Drama. I like it, and I've gotten the rest of the kids hooked, especially my brother and that nine year old. But my mom and her husband hate this, too.

Although, for some reason, although she hates most of the cartoons we watch in our house, my mom likes Phineas and Ferb. I do, too, just not something I'd watch all the time. It is pretty funny, though, so I can understand this.

My mom has a problem with me watching Soul Eater and My Little Pony, yet she doesn't mind that my younger brother watches shows like American Dad and Family Guy.

I watch Panty and Stocking, but my parents say its too inappropriate for a 13 girl like me. The girls at school make Panty look innocent as heck, yet my mom wants me to be friends with them.

I've been there. Except I don't really know any girls around here my age that watch that show (thank fuck because the girls that age I know are just...)

But when it comes to kids watching shows like P&S, it's maturity that counts. Not age.

If you actually look up the meaning of racist, Hetalia definitely isn't what it says.

They at least gave Cameroon and Seychelles dark skin. =w=

HETALIA FTW! Anyways, I know how you feel about this. My older sister always gets me to watch her shows, but when I bring up a promise she made to me that goes as follows; "If you read the first book of Harry Potter, I will watch Hetalia with you. I want you to read it because I want you to get in on the fandom!" Its been about 7 MONTHS since I finished Harry Potter. She still hasn't given her part of the bargain. Yet she tries to get me in on her fandoms. I respect my sister, but seriously, she should've done her part of the bargain MONTHS ago
